Dear Reader I love simple systems. I have a system for:
And because of these systems, I can free up time to do the things that bring me joy: writing, learning, and creating visuals. But lately… I’ve been struggling. And I couldn’t figure out why. So I did what I always do:
I slowed down. Checked in with my emotions. And listened to what was really going on The truth? The stress from work followed me everywhere. Like a teething toddler tugging at my sleeve. It just wouldn’t let me go. Even when I wasn’t at my desk, I was still carrying it. So last Thursday, I made a decision. And instantly, I felt lighter.
Yes, the downside is obvious. No paycheck at the end of the month. But the upside? A chance to build something that gives me joy and freedom. So for the next 30 days, I’m going all in. But on the systems that protect my energy and give me back my time. And I'll be sharing my journey on my Instagram Stories from Monday - Wednesday. Because sometimes the right system isn’t another calendar or checklist… What about you? Have you felt that a system that once supported you suddenly stopped working? Reply to this email and share your story. I‘d love to hear your story. Until next week Khatija |

With a blank screen in front of me. And an equally empty mind. I struggle to find inspiration. Then it struck me. Why not...
It’s 3.15 pm on a Wednesday and I am in the school playground. The usual buzz of children filled the air. As I wait to pick up my kids. My 7-year-old walk towards me. Her small face clouded with sadness. As a mother, I feel an ache in my heart. I kneel to her level and ask her how she is doing. Giving her space yet staying present. Sensing the stress within her. I'm here to help her navigate through her emotions. Our walk home is quiet. Her silence, her lips pulled down, and her marching...
